Drug
Rehab Costs
The average cost of inpatient drug rehab services in the US ranges
between $6000 and $8000 per month. Many drug rehab programs consist
of a treatment schedule which provide services wll beyond one month.
This pushes the cost of inpatient drug rehab up to between $9000
and $50000.While this cost is prohibitive to many of us, repayment
plans do exist with many drug rehabilitation centers in NY.
The fact of the matter is drug rehab can be expensive and the vast
majority of those who need this type of service rarely have the
financial resources required to enter in to a private drug rehabilitation
center. Unfortunatley the cost of inpatient drug rehab is quite
often passed on to the shoulders of the family members of those
requiring treatment.
This can be a very difficult circumstance for the family members
of a drug addict, who may have already been supporting their loved
one financially for several years, paying off debts, paying legal
fees, etc.,and see the extra cost of drug reabilitation as yet another
finincial burden in a long series. An investment which in the eyes
of the family may or may not result in a long lasting change in
the lifestyles of their drug addicted loved ones.
These and many other considerations affect both the drug addicted
individuals and thier family members. It should be noted that while
drug treatment may at times seem expensive it is indeed an investment
in the future of your loved one. A sober and clear thinking family
member will eventually be in a position to repay debts or at least
much more likely to than they would be while suffering a drug addiction.
When compared to the average cost of a hospital visit, which can
be upwards of $2000 per day depending on the treatment, drug rehab
prices seem insignificant in comparison. While we might not think
twice about paying for emergency hospital services of a loved one,
we balk at the cost of drug rehabilitation, it is important to remember
that drug addiction is an emergency and should be treated as such.
